I saw ROTS again tonight... and It came to me that R4 might not be dead, because the brass droid that Obi-Wan has when he goes to Utapau has red markings like R4... and it makes sense that he would have a brass (i.e. unfinished) head. R4 IS ALIVE AND WELL!!! I know that the colour of his head was chosen through an online competition... but it makes alot of sense this way anyway, and I like believing that R4 is alive ;D Another random thought; saw the first inconsistency.... when Anakin and Obi-Wan are fighting, and Anakin is pushing Obi-Wans saber towards his face, in the next shot its Anakin's saber. I noticed this the first two times I saw the movie, and made sure I payed attention this time, and I'm sure of it

I have good news and bad news Seda... First the good news- you are absolutely right about Obi-Wan and Anakin switching sabers while Anakin forces Obi's saber down onto himself. In one shot, Obi is holding his own saber- in the next, it's Anakin's. Now for the bad news... Unfortunately our beloved red R4 is truly gone. R4's full designation was R4-P17. When R4 was destroyed by the buzz droid, he was replaced by a new astromech R4-G9. It's all here: www.astromech.net/Lists/Galleries/astromechs/r4g9/Honestly I feel a lot more emotion sometimes for these astro-droids than I do for the human characters. For instance it's a little difficult for me to watch the scene in TPM where the R2 units are being blown off the royal starship. They actually scream as they get shot! Which brings me to another thought: I hope the Boga that Obi-Wan was chasing Grievous with is alright.

Sadly, Boga died saving Obi-Wan's life. In the Book, she turned at the split second, taking the brunt of the blast to protect her rider. Very very sad stuff.

Remember, we should rejoice when one leaves us and joins the Force.

I can understand that, but sometimes it is hard to just let go. I'll stop before I go into a long description for what I mean...

How many times does Anakin say "i hate" in the the first three movies you think someone would catch on realizing the dark in him

It is sad - for it is my belief that the Astromech Droid is the true Chosen One...

Well, now know that R2D2 knows everything.
It's a mystery to me how Anakin had R2 with him in Ep III at all. Jedi aren't allowed any possessions and I always thought he belonged to Padme anyway. In retrospect, I suppose it really isn't clear who owns R2 in ATOC. I suppose R2 may have been given to Anakin at the end of TPM (since he helped save the planet) and so R2 would have gone to the Temple.
That's it! R2 is the vergence in the Force that Qui-Gon sensed, after all! Anakin is just a powerful Jedi. But wouldn't it have been interesting if Darth Pageus(sp?) HAD really created life; it was just a droid. His treacherous apprentice would never have thought to look for his master's creation in an R2 unit.
Naturally, things went downhill for Vader because he was separated from the true vergence in the Force. And Luke just picked it up when he got R2. Yeah, R2 wasn't with him in that finial confrontation with Vader, but he was still nearby and Luke had that whole father/son thing going for him by then.
