I just got done watching Jay Leno. Samual Jackson was on. He said that,he just got done shooting his death. He did; however, say that he didn't go out like a punk. Thought that was interesting. Hopefully, I posted this at the right place.

Well, we all know that all the Jedi go, except Yoda and Obi-Wan, due to the Trilogy. JMD

This is "sort of" Ep III news, and some might consider it spoiler news, even though we know he has to die. lol! So just to be safe, I'm moving it here.

Mace Windu is actually one of my favorite characters. I really, really, really, really, really, really, don't want to see him die.....
I wish there was a way GL could change the fact that he has to die... but.... oh well!

Too true....we know he has to die...but now we kinda know that we will see it in Episode III....but you never know with George...he could cut the scene and elude.....
Reading "Shatterpoint" gave Mace Windu a hole new life as a character.
I am not sure I can bear to see Kit, Aayla, and some of the other Jedi go too....how sad.....

I love mace...but he is far from my favorite Prequal Jedi, My favorite is Qui-gon Jinn, who I had to watch die in EP 1, at hte hands of Darth Maul, weenie baddy...so...watching Mace Windu die at the hands of Darth Vader, badest man in the universe.... isn't going to shock me much

I give that a big thumbs up too....I like Qui-Gon much more than Mace....If I could watch him go....I can survive the loss of Mace...
What trouble me more than anything will be to watch what was once a cute little slave boy, then talented but trouble Jedi....turn into Darth Vader.......for me...that is the worst....

I never thought about Boba killing him. That's a good one. I'm gonna miss his purple bladed saber. But really, it will be sad to see him go, but when you gotta, you gotta. That would be a fitting end though, but maybe not because the way I see it Boba would only be a kid still and clearly not tall enough to fit into the suit. So for me there goes that theory, but it would be something to see that happen.

If the theory about being prepared for your death, and coming back as a ghost is true, the it would make sense that Mace is not expecting his death.
If you are unfirmiliar with that theory, it's very simple: Obi-Wan, Yoda, and Vader all freely accept their deaths and it is not a suprise to them. They are not killed in an excessively violent manner. Their bodies disappear when they die and they are later seen as ghost like figures. Qui-Gon, on the other hand, is not completely ready for his death, and is killed in the heat of battle. His body does not disappear, and he is not seen later as a ghost. Because you do not see Mace later as a ghost (in OT) Then it would make sense that he die in battle, and is not ecpecting his death.
I think the idea of Boba killing him is completely dependant on the amount of time between the movies. Even if it makes sense time-wise, I'd rather him not... the whole idea is a little too cliche for me.
