18 sewing machines? Wow, I just have one and a serger; I don't know where I'd put another. I've been hearing about those embroidery machines. They sound terrific; making multiple copies of custom patterns and patches: very nice. I am sure it will add value to your business. And the store did not get flooded? Not even the lower basement? The news is still full of stories about power outages. I hope you get it back soon, Leda!

wow Nova... That's quite a collection! I've only got the one machine... I'd like to get a serger and learn to use it... thats the next step for me. We got our power back!!! Yay! I can think of something else now besides how to keep warm and where to find a bathroom! My son's musical (Little shop of Horrors)was great! It was postponed but they finally held the shows this past weekend! Now I've got alot of catching up (and cleaning up)to do. It's amazing how the simple lack of electricity can cause such chaos! How dependent we are on it for survival!

Way to true about the electical dependence. So glad yours is back on at last. There are some good deals to be had on ebay, and I'd be glad to help you find a serger that's reasonable and show you how to use it. Maybe we can get together soon and make your bodyform. The theatre will be closed for a couple of weeks after next week.

Now my tech support (hubby) is away til sunday! I'm at Panera using their wifi for a bit then who knows when I'll be back online... *sigh*

Today has been a good day! First, I sat down with the embriodery machine, and did my 1st sample, no tears or screaming, so I did a design programed in the machine, at first the icon looked like a pony, the icons are very small, but when I added the second colour to the design it was a zebra, well it started w/ pink and then I added tangerine and it was on a green lined fabric, but somehow cute. Second, I fixed the script error on my computer! All by myself. It was driving me nuts, but now it's gone. HA! Happy Thanksgiving to everybody!

Had a nice Thanksgiving relaxing by the fire and watching movies with the family. The best was the phone call from my son Andrew in CA. It made my day!. ;D

Today I'm home... no black friday escapades for me... so I'm going to attempt to clean my work room... it's amazing how much random stuff finds its way in and has no place that it should go! Piles everywhere! Maybe I'll just start with organizing the sewing chest.

yeah between shifts at work being wonky, and all sorts of other errands, i need to clean my kitchen tonight, the area under the kitchen table is loaded with various xmas presents for everyone, and other random things that just seem to have gotten stacked there
been driving me nuts for a couple weeks now

I try to start organizing stuff but I get so overwhelmed... no place to put anything. I really just have to focus on getting the downstairs room painted so I can put all the furniture back in order, and put the books and stuff back on the bookshelves, etc. Then I can get to the garage and start getting rid of excess so that maybe I'll have room for stuff I need to keep... lol
