What type of thread did she use?(Your fiance'.) I've been wanting to do that to my obi and tabbrds but never knew were to start threadwise. She said she just used normal embroidery thread, and some DMC(cross-stitch) thread...

Wow! Your costume looks fantastic close up! That's so totally out of my league! I would love to have my Master Fay costume embroidered, but just the idea of having to sew so many little stitches is making me squirm in my chair! I'll stick to photoshop!

Good thing for me my g/f just love to sew ;D When she gets going its like she's on drugs...she can sew 24/7...
And its not finished yet...currently in the middle of drawing up more designs for her to sew on...hopefully she'll have it done by November so that I can wear it to the Art of SW exhibition in Singapore

The workmanship is very pretty. Very distintive and elegant. I can see Jedi with embrodry on their clothing . I've had some designs already drawn up for embrodry on my tunics and tabbords for years. I just hadn't the thread and time to do it yet.

Very nice photo, Plo! And the photos of the exhibit are interesting. "Jedi Gym" indeed.
As we now know from FIDM, the designs on Jocasta Nu's tabbard and obi were embroidered.

Plo, your costume looks really nice in the photo. The embroidery looks great.
But you have your unhappy face on in the picture!

Stern Jedi face! Notice how much of the time Obi-Wan and others are frowning.

Stern. Yes, I think you're right. They all looked terribly serious, especially Yoda and Obi-Wan.

Thanks for the compliments everyone, means a lot to me But you have your unhappy face on in the picture!
Well I WAS trying to make the 'stern' Jedi face, but what you see in the pic was induced more by the cameraman's inability to take a good pic more then anything else. He seem incapable of moving back a bit and kept either cutting off my feet or the signboard overhead in the shots. This pic is the best of the lot and it still has the top of the signboard cut off, and by then I was in no mood to take anymore pics ;D
I know, I know, Jedis are not supposed to know anger, nor hate, nor love...

Hmm. I guess I'm not much of a jedi since I smile a lot.

Yeah, I smlie in pictures alot. My stern face doesn't look very stern, it just makes me look like I'm mad at the galaxy! Besides, trying to make a stern face for the camera makes me crack up laughing.... ;D By the way, nice avatar, Plo. Did you make that yourself?
