I wear a dark gray turtleneck myself, and it works great, though I feel like I'm choking myself

I don't see where Obi's under tunic is a turtleneck. Am I being too literal in my thinking? Or was it altered

In ANH he wore a sort of mock nexk turtle neck before moving to a more custom tunic in ESB and ROTJ

I'm looking for a good pattern to use for Obi-Wans Ep. 3 undertunic. Any ideas?

I haven't been able to find anything that I really like, so I'm trying to adapt a pattern to what I want. I took a pattern for some hospital scrubs that has a V-neck with some overlap. I'm adding longer sleeves that are tight at the wrist and I'm extending the overlap part around the collar. Basically, it will be a pull-over shirt.
I've also tried adapting the tunic pattern, but with a narrow body, tight sleeves and a higher collar that overlaps and fastens with velcro. But it doesn't seen necessary to have an overlapping shirt. That just adds more fabric. Just an overlapping part around the collar seems like enough.

I found that a simple kimono-style, like a very lightweight dressing gown works perfectly, other than the sleeves not being tight to the arms.
