I have a tabard and tunic but what would be best for an under-tunic? I was thinking about just wearing a plain long sleeved shirt, but I would prefer not to have "costume cops" breathing down my back at CIII. Any suggestions?

I think a plain, brown, turtleneck shirt would work fine. That's what Obi-Wan had on in ANH and doesn't he wear a shirt like that for ROTS, too? The down side is that it could get wrarm to wear under your costume. That's probably whey you don't see more of them.

I don't think there will be costume police at CIII. As far as I can tell from the photo, Jocasta Nu wears a plain, round collared long-sleeve black t-shirt-like garment under her tunic. Other Prequel era Jedi were an undertunic that is generally made the same way as the over tunic but with tighter sleeves. Do what you can with your resources. A simple knit shirt (t-neck or not) would be OK. public.fotki.com/Kait/star_wars/jocasta_nu/black_shirt.htmlOne of my "alternative" (not canon) Jedi costumes is a modification of Jocasta Nu in which I wear a brown skirt and a brown knit top like the one pictured. I'm dreaming up another one in which I wear an dark brown print skirt, public.fotki.com/Kait/star_wars/host/fabric.html ( though it looks lighter in the photo) obi to match that print, dark brown tunic. I may wear the brown tshirt or a lighter brown undertunic.

An undertunic is an important part of the Jedi clothing, when they remove the outer tunic it gives them their version of a t-shirt. Note Anakin after waking while staying with Padme AOTC.
Some of our local padawans though wear simple plain t-shirts and that doesn't look too bad under a well made tunic. It at least serves the purpose until the undertunic can be made.
There were many versions of Jedi clothing, note Ki-Adi Mundi's and others.
There is also of course the example sited earlier of Obi Wans turtle neck in ANH.

Hmmm... I'm not sure what to do. My tunic is blue and is somewhat like that of what Quinlan Vos wears. But I don't quite have the muscle definition and I'm too pale to look good without an under tunic. Although I suppose I could try to find a tight fitting t-shirt in a slightly off shade of the blue my tunic is.

Why not try a snug fitting black knit with long sleeves. I think it would go well with the blue. Just a suggestion.....

sounds like it might work. Do you think I'd be able to find something like that at wal-mart?

Walmart is a possible, you can also check with sports places and either look for spandex biking shirts or maybe a snug all black sweatshirt or t-shirt, long sleeve of course. I am looking forward to seeing the result. I think blue and black look cool together.

Yes, I am going aswell. However inorder to save my money I'll be staying in my car at a truck stop or something. I'll be able to utilize shower services that way. But I suggest we meet up at some point there. Since this is my first time at such a LARGE convention and my first time anywhere with TJA, I figure it would be a good idea to have someone who I'm at least a little aqquainted with to introduce me to people and such.
