the only stupid question is the one not asked.
there are those who sell just jedi costumes and robes but im not too sure that they make a full time business of it though especially if there only dealing in one type of costume (such as jedi). i have been collecting costumes for 3 years now and i have spoke with different ppl who make mainly jedi, imperial, and superhero costumes and from what i have been told there sales fluctuate mainly with the interest of the public (such as a new movie released) and they only do it on the side while working another job with a more steady income.
by only selling one type of costume your limiting your self to one specific fan group. for instance, at one time the average price for a spiderman costume was a $1000 but now it is around $500 (however a few high rated costumes are selling at the $1000 range though). they will tell you though that some months they see a profit and then other months nothing. again, this is regulated by the fans interest.
nova will be able to further add to this since this is right up her alley.

Pretty much what Sauron said, but, if you go overboard & start advertising that you are selling "Jedi Costumes" or any other lic. & trademarked costume you may get in legal problems, the lic. holders (like Rubies) pay millions of $$$ to be allowed to produce the pkgd costumes & they or the copy holder can sue. They don't usually bother the fans, as they aren't really enuff threat to bother with, and it would create serious bad feelings as well. You are always allowed to make them for your own personal use, no one will bother you for that. Were you thinking of going into business making Jedi costumes? The competion is pretty stiff, just look on ebay, and several other sites offer Space Warriors, Space Knights etc. Most adept costumers will make & sell an occasional costume for $ for somebody, or sell off a costume they no longer wear, or made & didn't like enough to wear. Prices & quality can vary.

lol.... I barely have time to work on my own costumes, let alone go into business.....you would have to do it as a side job....and I just don't have the time....
Plus...George doesn't like it when people make too much of a living off of his "universe"...you would have to go for licenseing (sp?)....

Site looks to be a little pricey. But, very nice stuff if you can afford it.
