I finished my undertunic out of the bubble gauze....it wasn't really too terrible to work with...and has that kind of bunchy look built in.... I made it short (cause you really don't see most of it) to help out with my issues of generating enough of my own body heat to heat a room....and found that even the extremely lightweight-ness of the bubble gauze layered under my tunic is EXTREMELY hot for me.... so...unless it is the middle of winter...I will have to stick to my "cheater" undertunic...
I gotta admit...the look is great...the extra heat is not....

Schph, You should try what I did with my khaki tunic, I just added an extra neck band in the front and gauze sleeves inside the regular ones, it's an easy cheat and cuts a lot of the heat factor, I made this one to work in at the Halloween store during the season, it was cool enough to wear for that.

also good idea....
I will have to wait till it is cooler outside to take a photo with the gauze undertunic...just standing around makes me want to melt....lol....
Yesterday I brought my new outer tunic along with me and my extreme sewing friend marked some darts in the back with pins for me to get some of the "poof" out of the back of the outer tunic...makes sense for women since we actually have a waist....hopefully ...it will turn out looking good.....if it does...I may add darts to some of my other versions.....

I also have another trick for that, mine actually have a waist seam, and the skirt is cut fuller to allow for the hips, it's obvious that Luminara and a few of the other women were probably cut that way, in any case I really didn't like the one I did without a waistseam.

I havent had a chance to sew the darts in yet....but the tunic is hanging there nagging me with the pins in it...but I hope to get to it in the next couple days...
and Nova....those curved tabbards...once again...thank you....they are soooooooo great!
Nip-tuck...I keep at it...trying to refine the whole thing....

Humm. All of you have brought to my mind things I had no idea of.
The darts, waist skirt etc.
The 'fake' inner sleeves and neck band are incredible ideas. I think I'll try that for when it's very hot down here in Florida.

I expect to use several people, anybody that needs help in modifying their patterns for starters. Bring your fabric, and the patterrn you like to use best, and a roll of brown wrapping paper (craft) like you buy to send a package. Also scissors for paper and fabric, needles, pins, etc.
