I have the original and I mean original triology VHS box leatherbox edition with a hologram in the front. It contains of coarse the movies and a special video named from Star Wars to Jedi the making of a Saga. It also conatins a lithograph Factsimilie signed by George Lucas and a book. The box was made by Lucasfilm ltd in 1988. The box is worn but last i heard it was worth $100.00 a friend of my cousin who is into film collecting I turned down 150 for it but if he is asking that it has to be worth more. If anyone can help me to find the price I would appreciate it. No sorry it is not for sale but I am trying to find out for insurance purposes.

Hmmm.................. I have no idea. I have it too. I would say it's worth about half what you paid for it since it's open and worn. Unless it's considered rare, so who knows. I'd give the insurance company the price you paid for it. If it got lost in a fire, etc..... they need to know how much it would cost to replace. Just my opinion.................... Moving to the Collecting forum where you may get more of answer.

Are you an Insider subscriber? Because you could always write to Steve Sansweet via Insider and get the answer in his collecting Q&A Column whose answer escapes me now although I'd like to say Scouting the Galaxy.
