It was announced yesterday that The Clone Wars will not be airing on TV any longer. The remainining episodes which have been developed (most of season 6) will be released in a different format. What that format is, we have no idea I, for one, will miss the show. This past season - season 5 - wasthe first one of which I actually watched each episode. It is the main contact my kids (aged 5 and 7) have with Star Wars, besides video games such as Lego Star Wars. I actually enjoyed watching the show with them. We started recently to show them the movies (the real ones, ep 5-6-7 ) and the clone wars was their introduction to it. I think it has a good place in the SW universe, and I will miss having new shows. But I think Disney is wanting to create a rarity, in preparation for the new movies to come out, and stopping most everything SW related seems like a good way to starve the fans and force them to the theater when the movies are out.

I read online that they were ending the series. A shame, since it looks like they had some serious things to wrap up. However, with Ahsoka out of the Jedi Order she has a decent chance of surviving Order 66. She could even show up in the next movie.
I hope that they can put the episodes they have on DVD with the 5th season. Definitely would get me to buy.
