How many different variations of The Jedi Code are there?
This "should" be the earliest example -
THE JE'DAII OATH (from "Dawn of the Jedi" comic)
There is no ignorance; there is knowledge.
There is no fear; there is power.
I am the heart of the Force.
I am the revealing fire of light.
I am the mystery of darkness,
In balance with chaos and harmony,
Immortal in the Force.
Then, the one we are most familiar with:
There is no emotion, there is peace.
There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.
There is no passion, there is serenity.
(There is no chaos, there is harmony.)(*)
There is no death, there is the Force.
Also there is another one from 32 BBY (Before Battle of Yavin)
Jedi are the guardians of peace in the galaxy.
Jedi use their powers to defend and protect, never to attack others.
Jedi respect all life, in any form.
Jedi serve others, rather than rule over them, for the good of the galaxy.
Jedi seek to improve themselves through knowledge and training.
The Jedi Code was rewritten by Grand Master Luke Skywalker upon reestablishing the Jedi Order in the Galaxy (which sounds like the other one from about the 32 BBY time period)
