I'm new here, I'm looking for light saber classes for my 7-year old nephew near Anaheim, CA. Can anyone give me any leads?

I also re commend terra prime lightsaber academy. They are an open source online lightsaber academy that do all their tutorials via YouTube.
They also do a weekly live broadcast Friday nights and occasionally have guests from the various lightsaber communities on the show.
Their background is primarily Chinese wu dong and German broadsword. The led saber club I started, river city Jedi works closely with them and we are a test bed for a lot of their lessons and concepts. Most recently their point system for sparring.
Their system is not based on choreography and stage combat, but rather actual martial application of the lightsabers.
Strikes, parries, stances, blade binding, fluid ripostes. Everything is covered and still developing.
Their shii cho form is complete. And they have the foundations of makashi, soresu, Ataru and djem so laid.
I strongly suggest you look them up.
Also register on Saberforum.com and imperialroyarms.com
There are sections on both forums for saber combat.

I'd love to try my hand at this, alas, I don't know anyone in my area who might want to join me.

It's worse still when you teach it for a living and no one in the area wants to learn
