This is a rather large Midwest Star Wars costume event that members of The Jedi Assembly are invited to join in on

Some information:


Joliet ,IL public library Annual Star Wars Day 4..
Saturday June 1st 2013
10am to 3pm.


Just a recap on how this event has grown so big in just 3 years.
Number of people and or families that came to the event.
2010 , total 650 people.
2011 , total 1,800 people.
2012 , total 3,044 people. >>
40 plus members in full costume of the 501st Midwest garrison,ID garrison,and ID Bloodfin garrison.....


We get the same large office to change in again. You can see that in the pics below. There was more than enough room I believe to go around. Plus the photo ops were nice. Lunch and a simple breakfast may be provided again (waiting to hear back from them)..


The FULL SIZE CANTINA will be back again.

Children's games.
Imperial blaster training,
cut the arm off the (FULL SIZE ) wampa

Trivia
and many more


Steve Palincia has already said he is in for doing 2 new pieces of art .
1 will be for the landyards that everyone coming to the event will be getting. This includes the public.
2nd will be for the poster which will also be printed out and framed for the children that win the 1,2, and 3rd places in the costume contest.


Dave Dorman www.davedormanart.com will be there to promote and sell his Star Wars art work and books .

Vendors: from vintage star wars toys to comic books,resturants to who know what else??


We will close down Clinton Street due to the crowds of not only 501st members in costumes but for the public safety.

We have costumes and props on display and will be expanding to two locations which are only a block apart.

I always have TJA stuff in the display cases and available ....
but as one of the principle planners of this, I have many duties and will not be able to staff a table area...

Even though I just saw this now instead of earlier, since I was out of town. I will be there walking around like last year. I remember the 1st 1 which was quite small & now it's gotten quite big. Just hope the weather will help us though we're expecting some rain sadly. I hope the force will be with us for this. Should be great fun. ;D

Not your average Library event!
On June 1, 2013 NSB was on hand along with members of Dantooine Base and Mos Espa Base for the 4th Annual Joliet Library Star Wars Day.

In addition to the RL Bases, we had representatives from the Midwest Garrison, Wisconsin Garrison and Black Ice Squad, Northern Darkness Garrison, Bloodfin Garrison, Great Lakes Garrison and 70th Explorers Garrison.

We also had representatives of the Mandolorian Mercs, The Jedi Assembly and the R2 Builders.

In all around 80 costumed people were on hand at the two venues for this event. The Empire occupied the Joliet Public Library and the Joliet Historical Society was home to the Rebel Base.

We also had artists Dave Dorman, Mikey Babinski, Janine Jender, Steve Palanica and Jim Tampa.

And if that wasn't enough for you...
we also had Orli Shoshan.
