I am trying to find out how many Jedis we have in the area and how far everyone is willing to travel for events. With things in the area like San diego Comic con, Long Beach comic con,wonder con and many others, is it worth trying to set up a booth at these events. we cant do it with just 3 or 4 people

I was at SDCC in 2009. You definitely need more than a few people to man a table there. If I ever go back, I would think about doing a table, but only if I had some sort of back-up. But it is someting I would LOVE to see happen. It's kind of depressing seeing all the other booths and not having a TJA one.

Which is why we need a booth, to recruit people, but we need people to man the booths to recruit people!

Part of the problem setting up booths in SoCal conventions is the fact that the conventions themselves are so darned expensive. Add that to the fact that the economy out her in Cali is one of the worst in the country, and there's your problem.

There are lots of people in CA in the Western Order, most of them in SoCal. However, almost none of them are participate here.

I have been accepted into The Jedi Assembly just this month. Although I am still a "novice" Jedi costumer, I would like to become involved in events located in SoCal and would be happy to help man a table at one of the large conventions. I am living in Long Beach so that one would be a "for sure". San Diego would also be a possibility.

I try to promote TJA along with the other groups I'm in. On the card I use, it has TJA, Rebel Legion and Saber Guild.

Welcome Rhyx! I saw your very sharp Jedi garb on the main site. Looks good! You're in Long Beach.... I worked there up to 13 years ago. As Lazlo wrote, much of the activity is with the Rebel Legion in So Cal.
