I've been thinking of making a second outfit. As much as I love my Jedi Librarian get up, it can be a bit difficult to wear all day. The skirt is a bit tight and we had to put a piece of a milk carton in the Obi to keep it from getting wrinkled so it can get uncomfortable. I haven't decided yet what era I want to say I'm from, but I've really gotten into the Jedi of the pre Clone Wars and Clone wars eras.
On that note, I think a "battle" or "field" outfit in the style of Ahsoka or Aayla might work out well. I already have the leggings and an old shrug that would work perfectly. I also have the fabric for a skirt (that I never got around to using in high school) and I could still use a shorter tabbard with the Ansata designs. However, I have of two options, I can wear a camisole under the shrug so I don't have to walk around with my belly hanging out, (I realize I'm young, but I don't bare my midriff. Unless I'm poolside.) or I can not wear one and let my various surgical scars show and say I had a run in with a Sith. My scars are about 12-14 inches long and are due to various medical conditions. But what do you all think?

I've always loved Aayla's outfit. I even bought a nice faux skin fabric to make the top of it.
Would you do the head tails and the body paint as well? If so, you can incorporate a colored bodysuit into the costume so you wouldn't have to bare/paint your midriff.

I'm not sure my head and neck can stand wearing lekku. I have scoliosis, fused vertebrae, and bulging disks. I turn my neck the wrong way, and I'm in pain for days. The weight of them could be a problem. I'd love to do a Twi'lek otherwise since I used to play a Twi'lek rebel pilot in a forum rp. I think it would be best to stick with something that is just inspired by what Aayla or Ahsoka wears to save my neck and forgo the paint as well.

You could do something Twi'lek-ish with a lightweight headpiece or your hair.

How about expandable foam then sculpt the lekku from that or do the togarin tails like Shakk Ti where it would support on the shoulders

Do you have an sketches or patterns of what you have in mind. One trick is to make it still look 'Jedi' while still making it unique, though the lightsaber is a pretty good hint.

Leda, I do have long hair!
J'aii-gun, What is expandable foam?
Ani, I will, I just have to draw it out. Library school and work have kept me busy. I hope to have it soon.
Angel, I those look good. I have two pair of leggings in the same color, I never wore one and could use it for lekku I think.
I don't wear any of the leggings I have any more since they were for a dance class in college so using them for lekku is a good idea. A few alterations and some stuffing and it might work. The ear cones might be an issue, but I'm sure I can think of something.

Expandable foam is insulating foam you spray in cracks. You find it in a hardware stores. It's cheap you can sculpt it .It's durable I did My husbands wookiee toes with it. They turned out nice

It might be something to consider. It would make good earcones if I make the lekku out of the leggings.
I'd still have to paint my face and hands though, and possibly stomach. The paint should partially hide the scars and my cafe au lait spots (a kind of brithmark). The leggings that are the same color are a shade of purple. I also have a red pair and a stark white pair.
