Tomorrow evening, the Detroit Pistons is having Star Wars Night at The Palace and they're giving away posters to the first 10,000 fans. We'll have our hands full signing them before and during the game. This is considered a Formal/Canon event. I will be handing out my TJA cards throughout the evening.

It was fun. No other Jedi came, but I got a good reaction. It really helps to have a cool lightsaber. Some people wanted pictures taken with me. ;D The 3-D didn't make it much better for me, but I don't have any real depth perception.
Alas, Liam Neeson's face took the brunt of the flash in the background, but the costume photographed well.

Not bad at all for a re-release. I would expect that they're gone to make some money with this one. When does the next one come out in 3-D?
I noticed that the 3-D version had the extended pod-race scene. Lucas does like vehicles that go fast.

You looked great Ani. ;D
I'm hoping to go on Friday. I may be in semi Jedi wearing brown & possibly a robe--but no lightsaber too hard to carry along with my stool cane that I use.

;D I got to go to the 3D version of TPM. I was dressed all in brown anyhow, since I like to eat popcorn. I was impressed & very happy to see it again on the big screen. My friend enjoyed it very much.

Ani, my fellow Jedi-Co-Worker said that if TPM 3-D does well, then Uncle George will release Attack of the Clones 3-D. Lucasfilm released TPM as a test to see how the public would respond to another re-release of Star Wars movies.
I still haven't gone to TPM 3-D, but might go as semi-Jedi, too. At least my Jedi Assembly T-Shirt!

RATS! WE are in the middle of a snow storm here in the Chicago area, and I can't go and tonight is the last night for the showing of the Phantom Menace tonight and ONE showing tomorrow...My Dad wanted to see this on Monday with me, as MOnday is his day off, and I've been blabbing aboutthe movie so much,..... and as he's never seen the first three of the newer movies...I guess I'll never see this on the big screen!!! It's the last night it's showing? I'm surprised. I looked up the box office on boxofficemojo.com and it had made $40 million and the third weekend of the release isn't even over. I don't know how much it cost to make the 3-D version and re-release it, but my guess it that it is much less than the cost of making the movie itself. I'm guessing that they'll make money from it and re-release the other movies.
I swear, George just wanted to re-release TPM with the whole pod racing scene.
