I am currently doing research for a special project. This project will be revealed in a couple of weeks, but I need to ask you a couple of questions regarding your lightsabers:
What kind of lightsaber do you have (Vader, Maul, custom)?
How long is your lightsaber from the base of the hilt to the tip of the blade?
If you have a Maul/double lightsaber, are one or both of the blades removable, and if so, what is the length of the hilt?
If the blade is removable from your saber, how long is the blade?
Finally…
How interested would you be in a locking, padded, TSA acceptable, hardcase for carrying and traveling with your saber?

Custom sabers: hilts all single between 10 & 12 inches long. blade is removable and run from 32" to 36" in length. Hard case would be a great idea for those who travel or transport their sabers. I currently use a wooden wine case padded with gray egg-crate foam from old Dell PCs. I can fit 3 hilts inside both securely and safely. On my recent move it safely held my Lego saber, Randomsaber, and two Sonic Screwdrivers firmly and snugly. I believe you could design a multi-purpose case that would fit most, if not all, needs and be easier and cheaper to make....

What kind of lightsaber do you have (Vader, Maul, custom)? Custom, but also have a MR Obi-Wan and a MR Yoda
How long is your lightsaber from the base of the hilt to the tip of the blade? - Custom is 3 ft. 11.5" with blade in (blade is removable)
If you have a Maul/double lightsaber, are one or both of the blades removable, and if so, what is the length of the hilt? - On my custom the blade is removable. Hilt is 11.5"
If the blade is removable from your saber, how long is the blade? - blade is 3' on my custom
Finally…
How interested would you be in a locking, padded, TSA acceptable, hardcase for carrying and traveling with your saber? YES! I have been looking for suitable casings and just cannot find something durable and safe
