I was updating pictures for my costumes and one trick I've tried is making the color of my tabbards a slightly different color from the tunic. For this one, I just use some tan Rit dye to make the tabbards a slightly darker shade of beige from the tunic; they're made from the same heavy cotton fabric. I think it photographs better than if they're exactly the same color; the tabbards stand out a little better.

For this darker tunic, I used Rit brown dye, so there is more of a color difference, but they're still relatively close. Again, the tabbards and tunic are made from the same fabric.

Thanks.
Now, I wish I could re-size those pics when I link -- they look awfully large.

I'll take different color tabs slightly if it meant I could get my freaking neckline to work.
