Hi there, my name is Eric, and I've been member of the TJA couple years ago. Since then I haven't had the chance to participate in any event cause I live in Mexico, and it's very difficult for me to travel US and join you in activities that are organized over there.
Therefore I wanted to ask you if there is any way to activate some kind of "detachment" os so here at Mexico to recruit more members for registration and to officially participate in events as TJA members. I really don't know if there is some kind of info regarding this topic at the forums, but please it it is so, just point me where is it. Anyway I would really appreciate that someone can give me a hand on this, cause right now I have many friends very interested in joining TJA here at my country.

Have them join, by all means!
The way TJA "spires" work is as follows:
When any 10 members in any given area wish to organize into a group of thier own, they may go to their Order Master and request a Spire. The Order Master will then submit the request to the Council for approval. We are not limiting the areas to state size, state borders, or the like. And Spires will not be automatically be formed by the Council when 10 or more Full TJA members are in one area, such as a country or US state. They must be asked for by the members if they wish to have one.
Spires will be granted a sub-board in their given Order on the messabe boards. We would like to have the Spires listed on the main website just as the Orders are. New websites and message boards for Spires will not be granted at this time.
When Spires grow to be 25 full TJA members, they may again request to be granted thier own Order.
However, it ,ust be noted that someone would need need to organize the events in Mexico (or wherever). Unfortunately, TJA does not get invited to a lot of official events so we must make our own events. Many Cons have areas for Fan Groups to set up. Or even just toorganize a presence in a parade or such. That is how the "events" really work.

Oh thanks for your quick answer Cor-Al. Well now I understand perfectly the system. Today another mexican guy was registered at TJA, so I'll keep couching friends to join us here. As soon as we get 10 members I'll post it on the forums for the approval of our Spire.
Regarding the events and participations, I'll understand the way it should be done. But I have one more question, even when we haven't reached the 10 members for the Spire, can we participate on behalf of TJA in any event??? I mean, can we print a banner, ask for a table at a Con, etc even when we haven't reached the Spire???

Skoe, you can always have activities going on before you have an official spire done; participate to conventions in Jedi garb, talk about TJA.
That's pretty much how we came up with the idea of having regionalized spires within our organisation.
