Hey everyone. =) I've been trying to decide what color my twi'lek should be. I know they come in a variety of shades and hues, but I wanted to use a color you don't see very often. I see a lot of blue, red, and white twi'leks, but really no other shades. I was a gray Twi'lek at Celebration V, and I tried out orange just a couple weeks ago at Otakon. Please ignore my costume. =( It was something I threw together in a week just for something to wear at the convention. I thought the heat and the constant walking around would be also be a good test for the orange aquacolor. It didn't smudge, melt, or smear, and people kept asking me if I'd dyed my skin. XD The orange has been tested and passed with flying colors, but its so bright. I thought about trying a very vivid green, but I know there's still many colors I can choose from. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks very much! Attachments:

There is a background character from the Outlander Club in Ep. 2 that has lavender lekku (she was played by Lucas' daughter). Info on her states that lavender is a very rare color for Twi'leks. That would be the color I would use if I did a Twi'lek

Well, I went with blue as my sour grapes "I wish I were Aayla if I were younger and thinner".... Just finished... um, got it "troopable" by last Saturday for Boo at the Zool. Still needs some adjustments and snaps and velcro... I was pretty much pinned in. I love Twi'lek Jedi of all sorts and shades! You might try some test shades to see what looks good on your skin.... try anything you think that might interest you... orange, green, whatever. Also consider shades such as a more "pink" or more yellow orange, a more blue or more yellow green, etc. Experiment! I did a lot of patch tests on my arm and then my face. Also consider what fabrics and colors you will be using for your costume so you can consider the whole "package". You've done a good job with that with the dark brown tunic on the orange Twi'lek. Don't forget your saber color as it will shine/reflect on your skin and affect the color.

Wow, you look great! I didn't recognize you, though, without hair.

Wow, Kryy! Great Lekku! I was told by someone over the summer that I should do lekku as it would solve my head problems. I am thinking about it...but doubt I will. Who knows what I may show up with someday though. You look great!

Yes, they are Pam's! I wouldn't have tried this if not for Pam's lekku being available and all of the good advice on body paint, etc., found at Twi'lek Celebration. chucrew.com/TwilekCelebration/index.phpAnd thanks, y'all, for the kind comments. Of course, my character had to be a Jedi! And yes, it's the same robe I've been wearing for the past 6 years, made from instructions found on this site. I've been wearing it so long it now has natural "weathering"... LOL
