Peace to everyone and Balance to all, my name is Shom Syphroon and I hail from Williamstown in the West Virginia Sector. With everyone wanting to choose a leader for the different sectors it has raised a question from me: Do we truly need a focal-point of leadership other than the Jedi council?
I have served as a mediator for a group of Jedi in my area for upwards of seven years and I know from experience that the burden of leadership is heavy indeed, this position was not of my own choosing but everyone seemed to find me a focus of calm and peace. After some time I did become used to it.
I did not object to giving advice when it was asked of me but I did draw the line at being named leader of the council, ( this was long before the Jedi Assembly ).

I only say this to warn potential leaders of what they will be getting themselves into, but I will stand behind the decision of the council, whatever it may be. If on some odd chance someone should nominate me, I would only acquiesce if it were the will of the Force.

Yeah, I was at EFF. If you went to the Coruscant Cinema Showcase 1138 we might have been in the same room, LOL. Otherwise I was floating around everywhere... ;D

I don't have a traditional Jedi costume in the works yet--I'm putting together an EU Leia first, but I did want to do a Jedi Mara from her pre-wedding ceremony (Union comic). Have to find out if that would be unapproved here due to color restrictions.

As for your costumes they might be acceptable here. We DO Accept costumes based on specific comic book characters. Are you doing a Jedi Leia? From the Dark Empire Comics? That should be fine. As for the Mara costume, let us know which comic book it's from so we can see it. If you look like Mara in the comics, that passes our standards. Of course the council would have to take a look at it just to be sure.

However, if you wanted to volunteer for anything such as CIII, or anything run by LFL, LFL themselves may not consider your costume cannon. Just a word of warning... something we've hearing from other groups.
