Personally with Xana being the most senior member of the Council in our Order I think she should head us up. Any other nominations would be cool but my vote is gonna be for Xana. She's cool and calm (most of the time *L*) and for some reason I trust her not to mess us up to bad.

The council has not yet had a chance to discuss how the heads of the Orders will be chosen-- by appointment, nomination, or what have you. It took three weeks to set up the Orders alone and that was just geography and me getting around to posting the forums! Deciding how we will work out everything else is much more important and takes time and discussion. As for my interest in leading our Order, I haven't had too much of a chance to consider it seriously, although I have been thinking about it. And thanks for the vote Jencappa!  Even so, it's a moot point until the ENTIRE council has a chance to discuss it and bring idea to the table. So we will all have to be patient until it is discussed thoroughly. |

No offense Xana but this is what I was worried about. We have to rely on the entire Council to make the decisions. If we have to refer to the Council for every decision then the Orders will be a moot point. If we can't decide for ourselves who are leaders are then why don't we all just stick to being the Assembly instead of having split Orders? Near as I can tell this is just allowing us to know where everyone is. We could have set up a single post for that instead of 4 or 5 different forums.
And by the way if you do decide you want the leadership you still have my vote.

Jencappa... we are still a small group. Small enough to the point where we really dont NEED to be separated into orders... BUT we are using this time to set up the command structure for when we do get bigger. It will save us time and aggravation in the long run if we figure this all out now instead of 6 months from now when we are bigger and things are more complex. Yes it's an important issue but it's not SUPER important that we need leaders right off the bat.

1. Czuco is right. Right now, those are the only functions the Orders serve-- where are we all and what's going on near you. The Orders have only been posted for a few days. Give it time. Soon it will be about other things as well.
2. That's what a Jedi Council is for-- making decisions based on what EVERYONE wants and what is best for the club. Your ideas are being heard and will be brought up for consideration. I still have yet to write an e-mail to the entire council about all this. PLEASE BE PATIENT.

I'm from the Central New Jersey Coast. I find the crashing of the waves and barren nature of the beach during the winter season to be quite soothing and aid in contemplation of important matters.
