Southern Order,
I am happy to announce we have been APPROVED to create a logo for ourselves!!!!
I would like to open this thread tostart discussion and submission of ideas. If we have any graphic artists in this order, which I am sure we must, you help in this project would be greatly apprciated.
It is time this order is represented...to show the rest of the orders and the assembly as a whole who we are and what we represent. I truly hope to have your support and PARTICIPATION in this endeavor. Please feel free to contribute whatever ideas you have and see what comes together.
It is my hope that we can have something locked down as a final decision on design by 1 June 2011 and have the final sketch submitted to the council for LFL approval by mid June.

not that I have gotten from the Council....however we have a large territory so it can't really cater to any one area...that would not be appropriate......it should reflect and probably say both "The Jedi Assembly" and "Southern Order"
There are no color restrictions. Whatever we create has to be approved by LFL.

Well, I don't have any artwork to submit, but I hope I'm not out of line by discussing it...If this gets shut down because of me, I'm sorry, lol!
Anyway, I think we just need to focus on something universal. The South has a - ahem! - colorful history, to say the least, lol! Unlike a lot of Black people, I don't really see a racial connotation to the rebel flag; but what I do see in the rebel flag is a great divide. People love to focus on the racial aspect of the American Civil War, but it was also one of economics, pure and simple....
...My point, and I do have one, is we need to look at the Southern Order in that fashion, kinda-sorta...to a certain extent, we have to ignore the real-world history of the South, and focus on the factual aspects, including geography and economics. What are we known for? The Gulf of Mexico? Colorful drinks? Deserts? Cowboys and Saints?
...I don't know...just throwing out some concepts to get the ball rolling if or when we're approved....

This project has been disapproved by the council until there is more activity in the assembly and the in the order. This request will be re-eveluated at that time.

I agree, Kryin...I'm excited abou this project, if we are approved for it....
I know we have some creative people in this particular order! We're the only order that has a motto, for crying out loud! I think that is SOOO awesome! Life has a way of interrupting a perfectly good group of folks just looking to get together, trade Jedi secrets, and costume in the best possible light....
...sigh!

It seems to me that this subject has caused activity within the order, I am considering, although this has already been disapproved once already, to go back and readress this with the council. If I were to do this would I have support of the order to be involved in this project? Or would it be only one or two people participating?
Thoughts? I would really like to get as many order members involved in the entire process.
