If any of you were at C5, you may remember the wooden training or sparring lightsaber I had on display at the table. This was made by our own Obi-Jeff. Well, around Christmas time, we acquired a new dog. A scruffy thing I named Leia (becasue she's a princess, and she knows it) Anyways... a few days ago I came home and there were splinters all over my collection room Leia chewed up my saber... darn terrier-mix! I usually keep that room closed off when i am gone. It must not have latched all the way. She also had a tendency to run off with my Star Wars Beanie Buddies (espcially Boba Fett and the Jawa) but I have moved them to higher shelves Thanks goodness it wasn't my expensive custom designed one!

hey, that's the excuse I used to tell my master in elementary sparring classes...
lol
Are you planning on changing the blade? I suggest makine one out of polycarbonate pipe with a layer of reflective material to light it up automatically in flash photography.

Been there done that with some of my stuff when we had a dog.....the word here is HAD... Dog was gone after he snapped at my family and friends and ripped up stuff all over the house. DianaG

A great title for either a thread or book of SW anecdotes: "The Dog Ate My Light Saber" ;-)

She has them, but still feels free to chew on anything she can. She has eaten so many things I am surprised she hasn't died yet! Seriously!
We also have tried sprays that are supposed to deter chewing...works for a bit until she gets used to the taste
And don't get her near a roll of toilet paper...

CLove oil works good on a dog that chews too......used it with our second dog and he quit really fast after he got a lick of that stuff on the couch legs he used to chomp on... DianaG

Any handle look you want me to make for your replacements? Also these are stunt sabers to practice with. I will be working on more soon.

She does have those peculiar yellow eyes, doesn't she? But I can also see it's tough to stay mad at her... like you said, she looks so 'sorry'... or at least knows how to manipulate human emotions!!!
