Here's a look at he beginning stages of the Big Clean. This is worse than usual due to moving items from one room to another for cleaning, but you can see why we need new stuff. Starting with Living Room (last Friday): And...today: New couch and loveseat comes Friday. Tomorrow the kid gets a new bed. He has a Captain's bed right now that has literally collapsed... Start to tackle the kitchen tomorrow. Its even worse since that's where things are piled now Wait til you see the pics of the dumpster when this is over

Wanted to get on the kitchen today, but since my kid's mattress set came, I'm working on his room. Not heavy, but enough to get hi sold bed out and his new bed in. He has a very small room -- and likes it better than the larger one he had. Weird kid.
New couch and loveseat, new kitchen table and chairs, new corner table, new ceiling fan (the one in the living room only runs on low), and maybe another new chair or two once the piano goes - not sure what to do there quite yet
(The piano is really my brother's...originally it was my maternal grandmother's. she dies when I was about 6. I barely remember her. It went to my Mom. My brother and I both took lessons but he is 50x better than I am. When my mom and dad moved from the large house in the country to the smaller home in the city, I took the piano, hoping my son would want to play (I tried to re-learn but still suck). But he doesn't have any desire, so it's going to my brither whom I know will treasure it as a family memory.)

No work on it today as I had an eye doctor appt. and they had to dialate and numb my eyes. That always takes me hours to recover from. Still a little blurry but at least I can read now. We did get our kitchen chairs delivered. But we haven't really started on the kitchen yet. Kid's bed came yesterday. He's not used to having a mattress AND a box spring. It feels really high to him. He did have fun taking a hammer to his old bed and destroying it to throw away. Tomorrow (Friday) new couch and loveseat come! Guy came for estimate on the shelves in my collection room. Yea! That should start soon. Hard part will be getting everything out of the way. As for the eye doc, my eye pressure's higher than last time. So in two weeks I have to go back for a visual field and another pressure check.

What are cleaning for? Just cleaning or moving? I think "Clean House" and "hoarders" are getting to people............ I know I get rid of stuff everytime I watch one of those shows.

Just need new stuff...our old stuff is old and falling apart and ratty and dirty looking. Most are hand-me-downs. In fact, I think everything is except our bedroom suite. And that's like 18 years old now. And its all been "Marky-ized" as I like to say. Yay! We can sit in our living room again! This couch and loveseat is much larger than our old ones, plus the couch reclines as well as the loveseat. So we have to move it a little further away from Izzy's table (where he sits all day and looks out the window - his own chosen spot). All in all, it makes the room look smaller Good news is my brother is getting the piano tomorrow! ;D He was supposed to get it about a year ago. But it looks like the room will be too crowded with another chair on that wall, so we're getting a console table instead. Also bought a new stove and refrigerator. Stove is coming Tuesday. It will be about 2 weeks for the fridge. Starting in on the kitchen now too. Still waiting on our kitchen table. Chairs are here, but the table isn't. Collection room will be done in a week or two also, depending on weather.

Massive job you are doing ;D. You will be so happy ;D when it is all done. Of course with a house nothing is ever done, there is always something that pops up to get needed to get done. I know I'm going through this a bit myself----my kitchen is almost done---new floor in, walls washed, new trim put up. I think my kitchen is going to be Star Wars meets the rainforest or something like that. Still got to tackle my Jedi sleep chamber & THAT is going to be interesting on how to get all my Qui-Gon things where I want them---along with several other Jedi things. My Jedi clothes have their own closest . My new storage building is almost done then we get to massively move 2 rented storage areas & put it all into the new building behind my house. A job that has been a need to do for the last 2 years. As they say a Jedi is never done working on something.

Yay! Table came in today! As well as my other "surprise" - and it was a surprise! But you'll have to wait for the final pictures. Dumpster has been hauled away. Shelves will be up tomorrow in the collection room. Then all we have to do is wait for the refrigerator... Almost done!

That's because there is no reason whatsoever for people to come here! Well, maybe the lake, but this year it was all fungi-fied
Still tackling the collection room. Man! I didn't realize I had this much stuff! It didn't seem like so much taking it all down
Pictures soon when we are finally all done
