Just a thought, you've got a few months until the CV madness begins, so I wondered, who is doing new Jedi Robes, with or without armor?

Hmmmmmmm, am thinking that Florida in the summer is not the sort of environment that gets people thinking about new ROBES.
I am thinking about re-doing my very second SF costume - Obi-Wan Kenobi. But now that we have the prequels, I don't have to be a 'drag' Jedi with it.

I never understood doing a costume if not to wear it regaurdless of the wheather. I'll be in my normal tunics, though yes the robe may be a special occasion piece.
I'll have two new sets of tunics and I'll probably be bringing ,my Jedi General

It's so cold up here, robes are all I ever think about! In fact, I'm wearing mine over my pajamas right now, just because my Jedi robe is the only robe I own, lol!
My first robe was so well done, I'm afraid of doing another one, just because I know it won't be as good. My first one does need some minor work done it, though, as a few years of minor wear and tear are starting to show in some places....
...may the Force be with you....

Robes or tunics, or other Jedi paraphenalia to wear, is actually what I meant. Anybody making new for ones for SDCC, DCON or CV or just because............

I'll be making a new over tunic and a new over robe . My cats had kneaded the over robe to a mas of serious snags. I guess while I'm at it, a couple of under tunics.:-)

I really like my current costume except its getting worn out! LOL Its getting lots of pulls in the fabric. Also, the crinkle gauze seems to stretch out lengthwise as its been hanging on the hanger for so long.
I don't think I'll have time to make anything new but I would like to try making a dark brown tunic. So far I've only done cream and beige.

Leda, maybe try the washer & dryer to reshape the tunic, it will re-crinkle and shrink in and up in the process. I usually wash mine and hang dry, but every now & then I machine dry the crinkle stuff.

Need to finish my leather tabards. Was working on them for a December TFT troop and then got sick, so I haven't got back to them. Need at least one new undertunic (especially if I get to CV) ... have enough fabric for like, um, 5... in different colors! LOL Clone Wars gear.... it's going to take a while, but I should be able to get it done and troop-able. I have all of my fabric and leather, and the armor itself is due to be delivered in two days. The hardest part might be trying to get the tunic pattern "right".... to get it from my sketches to my body and have it look like I want it to look. Thankfully, I did the duct tape mannequin, so that will help a lot with the "pattern draping". (Of course, the armor finishing will be time-consuming, but it's mainly a series of steps.... the designing was already done by someone else. Leda, my tunics are getting a little "worn" too... especially the brown one, which is my favorite so I tend to wear it more. Oh well, looks like we've been on a lot of missions.
