Here's a pic of what my sister has so far for her Jedi costume. She still needs a belt and she was borrowing a pair of my trousers, but it doesn't look too bad. The tabards are kinda narrow, too, but she's tiny (5'). Suggestions?

I'm a 5 footer too, and I made my tabords 6 inches across at the shoulders and tappered to five at the waist. If you can't tapper 'em or don't wanna' cuz it's a pain in the butt, try a 6inch wide tabbord all the way down. If you scoot them closer together at the belt it'll look neater.
Is your sister short waisted too? If so, I am too. I can hep with tips on dealing with that.
Edit: Cat walked across keyboard.

Looks really good! I especially like the colors...that atbbards are a bit slim, but coming from someone who needs to seriously work on his own tabbards (not insofar as width is concerned, but just...everything else, lol!) you might want to take my constructive criticism with a grain of salt....
...good job! May the Force be with you and your sister!

Both the tabbards and obi look like they could be wider, but not too much.
