LMAO!!! That was hilarious! At first, I thought it was going to be an inside look at the actualy Church of Jediism in England (it's a real thing, I promise!). Not only was it freakin' hilarious, but it was totally well done, too! That (brief) lightsaber battle at the altar was good, considering what they had to work with, too...awesome!

Nicely edited video and good 'commentary' people playing it straight. Cute and they didn't make the joke go on too long. It's all in good fun; they obviously had permission to use someone's church for it.
I don't know about the Jedi church in England. The only time I've seen pictures of them, it looks like their robes are made of polyester. Eew. IMO, If one is going to invent a religion, one should come up with one's own material, rather than something that's copyrighted.

Yeah, 'Jedi Church' sounds so Earth-based. Pedestrian.
I think of the Jedi as being very monastic, no possessions, no attachments; being a Jedi isn't just a job. But they don't worry about what the rest of the galaxy believes. Their devotion to their duty does not require that the rest of the galaxy join them. And attaching 'church' to 'Jedi' make's it sound like their recruiting.

I think of it as an "Order". I agree, "church" doesn't sound right. If I remember correctly, Obi-Wan uses the term "our Order" in the movie.

Funny! But Jedi Curch is just wrong. Calling it a Temple instead of a church would make more sense. Isn't it called the Jedi Temple in the movies anyway? And the Jedi beliefs are very similar to Buddhist beliefs and they dont' have churches.

I agree. The word "church" sounds wrong. The spirituality of the movies, including the Force, has elements of several world religions. After all, George was mentored by Joseph Campbell. Glad to see you're reading your way through the forums.
