the next electronics upgrade for my custom lightsaber is going to be one of those "safety triggers"... I totally hate to travel with my saber as I have no way to prevent it from accidentally turning on. this is how I am going to implement it: Of course, a simple on/off switch in serie with the trigger would be good ennough, but I kinda like the way Corbin made his, and it saves me from adding yet another button on my saber. If one have another, better idea, please let me know

I first tought of a "kill switch" on the power-on/off button - a 2nd switch would render the on/off useless unless it is set to ON. I would have left that inside the saber, to be used only when carrying the thing. I also tough this could be on the batteries - save power when not in use for a long period.
But Corbin suggested this method - it is not a real safety: you need to press 2 buttons simultaneously in order to kick the saber ON. Good ennough for me, and you can't "forget" the safety.

I currently have 2 buttons on my sabers - one for on/off, the other for manually trigerring the impact effects. Both are low on the grip, near the pommel section, and act as a bolt for the grip.
In a future upgrade, I'll want to reposition both near the emmiter. In any case, the idea is to be able to hit both buttons with a single hand by squeezing the hilt.

It wasn't my idea to start with, I've been talking with Corbin about that for a while now.
