Celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Star Wars, with the Luke Skywalker Episode IV Force FX Lightsaber from Master Replicas! In 1977, with the opening of A New Hope, a generation of movie-goers watched in awe as Obi-Wan Kenobi handed Luke Skywalker the lightsaber that had once belonged to the boy's own father. In an instant, Luke ignited the blade - and for the first time, the world saw the glow, and heard the now-familiar hum of the sci-fi weapon that would go on to capture the imaginations of millions!
30 years later, Master Replicas is proud to offer the Luke Skywalker Episode IV Force FX Lightsaber - a functional replica of the first lightsaber ever seen in the Star Wars Saga!
An enhanced glowing blue blade with realistic power-up and power-down light effects. Five motion sensor controlled sound effects digitally recorded from the movie: power-up, idle hum, swing, clash, and power-down. 3 built-in motion sensors for super sensitivity: 2 for detecting movement and 1 for detecting the impact of the blade. Official Replica of Luke Skywalker's lightsaber from Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope $119.00 Collectors Society Pre-Order: February 14, 2007 (9:00 am Pacific Time) General Public Pre-Order: February 15, 2007 (9:00 am Pacific Time) Expected to Begin Shipping: Summer 2007

Actually, this is more like a re-release of the Luke Ep IV saber. They did release an earlier version before they made improvements. It used six batteries and had a hilt fatter than the original, but that was in their advertising. This new one should be an improvement.
