I am anxious as well because I wanted a Obi-Wan force FX saber, but haven't had the money, if I don't get one from MR e-bay, will be my friend, perhaps one of the convertated ones

I'm sure someone will pick-up the license. WAY too much $$ to be made selling LFL stuff. Wouldn't we all love to be in a profitable partnership with George? **note the word profitable in that sentence. ** I agree that the Corgi purchase of MR probably had something to do with it. MR's cut of the deals may not have been as lucrative as Corgi thought they should be, so they just kill the deal. I also heard that MR is supposed to begin producing Halo licensed replicas sometime later this year, so we'll see if that gets impacted, as well. My kids are dying for a Halo battle rifle. Whatever happens, I'm sure there will be more sabers produced, albeit by a different company. And yes, hopefully they will have removable blades. An MR rep told me late last year that they were already completing the R&D for the next versions of the FFX line to include removable blades. It's been their biggest request in the saber line.

There are many ways to learn the ways of the Force, but only those who have joined it may know best.

IMHO... ICONS did a better job at making display replicas.

Well the thing is MR has been using the same stuff sence they started the led sabers.
all the boards in teh sabers thers only 2 jedi and sith one is without blaster sound. theres really no technology advancing wiht mr and the Force FX line.

things that are bad, no force fx sabers, only thing I buy from them, I am hoping another company makes new ones or such, and they re sell the ones that are out right now, also means I have to be more careful with the force fx as we can't just run out and get more anymore

The one good thing I DO credit Master Replicas for is making a semi-realistic looking lightsaber with blade and sound for a price people can afford! The FX is accessable to those who can't shell out the 200-300 bucks for a Parks EL or similar.

I hope that LFL gets ahold of parks to do them cause he does a d**n good job of making the replicas. just get rid of that old technology el poo.
My brother is gonna go thru a hell of a time trying to convert his obi/quigonn sabers to led.

I meant that another company might take over the technology and re name them or such

as long as they're more accurate than the previous people (not just MR) it will make me a very happy costumer

I talked with the guy from Parks Sabers and he says that they, as of now, are not going to put sound or change their sabers in any way..... I have the Echelon and I was hoping....oh well.

I was rather upset to hear about MR losing the license starting in 2008. I own a couple of the mini sabers (Obi AOTC and ROTS), and I'm actually rather happy with both of them. I wanted to purchase a Force FX 'saber, but I haven't had the opportunity to dump the money into a purchase of that nature.
I guess we'll just have to wait and see what the future will hold. I definitely would expect someone to pick up the license, but whether or not we'll hear any news about it this year is what I would question.
