Ok here's my delemma. I purcased some covertec wheels from a guy simply known as "Saberbelt". I think that he used to be a message board member. I need to drill and tap a hole for the allen s c r e w s that he included. The problem is that I have no clue what the thread size is, or even if it is english or metric. I am in URGENT need of this information if anyone has it. Thanks.

I think those were either #8-32 or #10-24 screws... I thought he mentioned it on his site.

thanks all, I got it done but had a humdinger of a time doing it. First my tap broke off in my original hole. so I drilled and tapped another bigger one. I had to modify the wheel to accept the screw and when I got home the screw really scratched up my belt clip so I went out and dremmel-ground it off a little bit, It's not perfect or pretty but I like it. If I didnt have bad luck I'd have no luck at all.

This is the main reason to use tapping fluid and take your time

Tapping fluid and cutting fluid is mainly a lubricant with good cooling properties. It helps having better cuts as both the tool and material doesn't overheat.
If you used "some oil" it most likely was adequate. I myself never found "magic tap" or any other taping fluid, so I am using a spray-on cutting oil I got at the hardware store.

8-32 as I recall.............. thought his site was down......Been wanting to get a few. His store is no more, he sold off all his inventory and closed down his business last year. I thought he posted here about the fact that he was going to do that.
I got some great discounts on Anakin buckles and dished out Covertec knobs before he did.
