This whole thought stemmed from the fact that Mon-Jas's saber went missing and I decided to share it with more people than just him. I know this isnt really part of any jedi costume but i thought if you could attach a karabiner to your belt it would be a more secure way to tote your lightsaber around. Obviously this would only work with a D-ring system or something similar. Even better I think I have worked out the belt attachment meathod!! Now I can hear you thinking that it would be difficult to actually draw my lightsaber with such a system in place, however I have a few friends who carry their keys on a karabiner and they have no problems at all with access. So what do you think, and would you like to see how to attach a karabiner to your belt?

That's a good idea really, especially if you want to keep the saber on your belt and running around a lot...

I already use a carabiner for my lightdagger because it has a D-ring, it works well.

Wow, tell us how you really feel! lol
I generally prefer Covertechs too, for my full size sabers, but it just felt right to put a D-ring on my lightdagger. It's a bit stiff, so it doesn't rattle.
Don't put down the D-ring enthusiasts that are out there. To each their own.

D-Rings for the win!
I used to use a carabiner, but then I got a saber hook from Dave... hasn't come loose yet!

I generally prefer Covertechs too, for my full size sabers, but it just felt right to put a D-ring on my lightdagger. Do you mean if felt right for design aesthetics, or simply for the grip, and if you meant for the grip, where abouts do you tend to position the covertec clip? I only ask as for my first saber (based on Obi-Wan's TPM/AOTC saber) I put the clip on the back of the 'silver piece' at the bottom of the grip. However, I found that when drawing the saber, the clip would fall below my lower hand, so my grip would have to shift to reach the activator... My Qui-Gon inspired saber however, has the clip placed higher on the hilt, so when the saber is drawn, my thumb is straight on the activator, and the clip rests in the well of my palm, with the tips of my middle and ring-fingers touching the side of the clip. Through sheer chance, the saber I made for my fiance has the clip in the same position, so although the saber itself is slightly too small for me (almost a light-dagger, as you mentioned) the clip still rests in the well of my palm with the two fingers touching it, and I can't say I have a problem with wielding it like that

I use a carabiner on my belt and a key ring on my sabre. the ring is clamped with a cotter pin that is superglued into a hole in the hilt, so it doesn't rattle.
