yes and they are ribbeld saped very difficult to cut with a siccors you must have tin can's that is smood on the in and outside and under the 2 silverish bars ( made by meself)i dril a hole. cut 2 nails of the right lenght and a piece iron wire. the 2 nails those lie we over the holes then we loop the wire over the nail tru the holes and tie it up on the other side (dont forget the nail) in the middle of the clamp we stick a little screw drever between the wire and turn and turn the wire until the clamp comes together. over the 2 nails we gleu the 2 silverish bars. and voila the clamp is ready (make sure that the wire is not long )

Small cans of tomato paste are smooth. But they may only have enough diameter for a very small clamp. I'm not sure about the larger sizes. So, just make some homemade spagetti sauce and use the can.
I think evaporated milk cans are also smooth. Make fudge or cream pies with those. And lightsaber clamps.
I'd also seriously consider adding a coat of clear, black or metallic Rust-o-lium. Food cans are notoriously bad about rusting.
But what is the lightsaber clamp for? It doesn't hold it on the belt.

the clamp that i make is a replica of the grafflex clamp, from a grafflex flash tube that they juice for the ANH and ESB sabers of luke.the clamp holds the top and bottom in place of the flash. in the movies the clamp is a activision switch.the sabers as a belt ring on the bottom

The pictures in this post don't do these homemade clamps justice; this can work out incredibly well, its a really good idea obikenobi.
Just one question; arent the edges a bit sharp?

How did you calculate the length of the metal sheet? Did you measure a Graflex clamp or is there a formular?
And how did you bend those little flenge which are supposed to hold the bubble strip or bus card? Those are real small bends...

For bending small, sharp corners in metal, I'd use rounded, needle nose plyers. You can find them with the jewelry making tools in craft stores.

if you look at the pictures. you see that i use a tape around the saber, but the ends don't come together, there is a smal pace between them 5a6mm. that plus 25mm at the both ends of the tape when you stick it on the metal sheet. thats the lengt of the clamp. everthing what's to long you can cut it of.
