I'm not sure if this is the right place for this thread, if not then sorry.
I felt i should make a point about using the proper safety equipment when working on your lightsabers and other props. Last night I was working on clearing the limbs and sticks in my back yard, while moving some out to the curb, I was struck in the eye by a limb I was pulling out of the bed of my truck. I was not were eye protection and was struck dead on the eyeball causing a painful cut on the surface of my eye which will take several weeks to heal. Luckily I was not injured nearly as bad as possible. I didn't even think about wearing my safety glasses while moving the the limbs, though I'm always sure to wear them when cutting. My point here is we should always wear eye protection when working with any crafts, you never now when something will jump, splash, or fly up and hit s in the eye.
be safe

That's good advice! Glad you weren't hurt too badly. You sound like Toss Bain where every story he tells ends with a trip to the Emergency Room.

That's my point, I never thought about wearing them for moving sticks and limbs, but now I do. All it takes is one quick moment and BAM! your hurt.

luckily all the windows are still boarded up from the hurricanes. But, the Dr. told to keep the eye open and un covered to keep out infection. You just never know, the simplest thing can be a hazard to the eyes.
