HI! I was just wondering where I can find a cheap lightsaber. I would not worry about it except my old one just broke and I just got fired from my job. and as a famous jedi once said, "Help me ______, you're my only hope". In other words, reply as soon as possible PLEEEEEEASE!!!

Xakker, I just made mine last week for less than $20. ;D See my "New Darth on the Block" thread in the "Introduce Yourself" section, if you want details.

Nice pix jedimom! I am impressed. I actually got directions from home.san.rr.com/easylightsaber/ . The photo on this site looks prety good and the supplies are supposedly easy to find. but I do not want to make 1 out of a plumbing tube. I am making 2 out of scooter handles. How much may that lower the price?

I have to admit the most expensive piece I bought to make my saber with was the pipe. The button I got at Radio Shack for like $1.99. The O-rings are like 30 cents a piece. The cap was two prescription bottle tops I painted balck and glued end to end. I thought it looked kinda okay. You can do whatever you want with a saber to make it your own. I now have a belt clip on it too, which I bought for $5.99 at Wal-Mart (cell phone/pager clip and not as expensive as a CoverTec that a lot of people use). I needed to be cheap also. We have a very limited budget. It was kinda cool to make, and I felt proud cause like i said I am not mechanically inclined.

Yeah, me too. A friend is making one for me for around $50 or so. I guess that is the cheapest way to get a real one-- make it. Looks like you have lots of help here for that!

I don't have a blade for mine, it is just to wear. When I battle I use my Hasbro one. I can't figure out what you guys do with your blades when you're not battling. Besides I have to be CHEAP! We're talking VERY limited budget. Suire I'd LOVE to have a Park's Saber, but that is 'way out of my price range!

OK OK Cheap sabbers. well hesr a way to make a one of a kind one but with in a cheap price range. See Im going to Icon and DC got my room and tickets and stuff but still gotta save cash for fun stuff. Got tierd of saying my sabber was in the shop LOL so I made one out of an old broken hasbro one my step son had. It is very very cool and a one of a kind. Heres how I did it 1 old sabber then I sanded it with a rough grade then a med grade then a fine. you have to do a good job and really work on the seams. Then I got various paint mine is brass, Silver, and Graphite with accents of a , get this, Fingernail polish called Emerald Amaythest by sally hansen. It looks AWSOME and if I put battaries in it it still makes noise. LOL I love it Im going to add some leather stuff and a d ring. I cant wear it on my belt any other way it will jab my ribs. A chick prob if you have a tiny waist!! Iff and when I get a pic Ill put it up!!

<winches> I KNOW about the Saber hilt jabbing the ribs thing. OW!. I've developed better posture and may have grown a extra inche. . The Fury saber I have, got caught on a chair once. When I tried to get up, the prongs caught on the chair's rungs in back. Hazards of a short person and sabers. :/

Jauzmynn it's not just a short person and saber problem, I nearly drug a chair at Megacon because the saber I was wearing got caught in the arm and when I got up.......

greetings!! I, along with Ephanie (Babe, I hope I spelled it right) made mine out of plumbing pipe, and some old stuff, and made it for less than $20. If I could figure out some way to get my pictures to actually stay on the site, I'd show you. I think mine actually looks pretty good. I also made a jedi comlink, and I will be making some other stuff too.
