Im planning to make a jedi pilot headset, most likely with an exbox ear and mouth piece, and ill fabricate the rest. Has anyone made one themselves or knows more about the real props? I have a friend who has the toy version which is spot on accurate for the long mouth section, but the rest is garbage.
I just think it would give some small variety when trooping around as anakin. I dont see many people with the headsets.

I didn't know they had a toy version.
Please keep us posted as you do it, I'd like to make one someday too.

I recall seeing an auction or two on Ebay back a bit for the playsets with the pilot headband...unfortunately at a time (like now) when I had NO cash.......

yeah..this thing seems to be the holy grail of jedi props....definately made from found parts, i think but i havent seen anyone on any forum that has accurately replicated it. this is from starwars.com

Start looking at ladies headbands, guys! Many are made of metal, gold, silver, or copper toned, although I have not seen any that looked precisely like that.
That front piece looks like it would be the most difficult to replicate, but it's the one part that would have to be exact, or it wouldn't look right.

Be nice if you could make one that works with your cellular phone, using a mobile headset.

Has anyone got a top or side view of it that shows the top band?

screen caps would be useful.

Here's the best pic I could get. You never really get a good look at the top band, but it doesnt seem to be anything special, just flat and straight.

screen caps would be useful. Your wish is my command! ;D These are the best I could come up with. There are none looking directly from the top downward: This last one might not look like much, but it gives you some idea how far the headband comes around the back of the head. Hope this helps!

Most likely. At least all the individual components in their raw form.
If you notice even the little steel coloured piece in the middle that connects the earpiece to the headband is gold in the screencaps.
