tandyleatherfactory.com has screw back studs. They're not the Sam Bowles buttons they carry, but the more movie accurate straight studs. They only have nickel and brass and a couple of sizes, but they're about the same price as anywhere else, $0.99 each.
I have not ordered any, so I can't compare, but they look OK in the pictures. It's nice to see another source for getting a stud just in case one gets lost from your belt.

they don't look bad at all, but the center looks to be real short. I would like to see how they look on a belt

They look a bit short... but better than the Sam Brownes.

They look a bit short... but better than the Sam Brownes. Oh no doubt. The Sam Browne's are the last resort, trust me. I always liked this pic for showing the difference between the Sam Browne's and the Screw Backs that I buy/sell/use: Dave

I tried the Tandy studs on my new belt, and the center shaft is not long enough to properly hold their pre-cut leather strip.... the leather is too thick or the shafts are too short... they would have worked, but didn't look right with the narrow belt crammed in there ready to pop loose... I had to swap them out for the studs in my old belt, although I don't know where they came from...

If you are using their pre cut straps then they are too heavy a leather. Something like 10 - 13 oz. You may want to try the 4 - 5 or 6 - 7oz leather.

Yes, the leather strip is too heavy, but it will do until I can cut my own.... not that adventurous yet... LOL
I think Tandy's studs would work fine on a lighter weight leather... and Dave's at saberbelt look a little taller in the middle...
