Hello,
I am working on making my belt. I plan to use a two prong buckle in the back (I know snaps are normally used, but I'm trying something different). I also want to use grommets for the holes in the other side to keep the buckle from stretching the leather. The leather I am using is 1/4" thick. I am having trouble finding grommets that are tall enough. I think I need grommets that are at least 3/8" tall... not diameter. The grommet should be tall enough to fit through the leather, the washer, and have enough left over to fold down and seal. I have been to my local Tandy Leather store, and their grommets aren't tall enough. I have Googled grommets also, but I have not had much luck. All of the grommets I have seen so far are 1/4" tall or less.
Does anyone know where I can buy really tall grommets?
thanks!
