That's a good idea to tuck the thin belt behind. My belt keepers are always slipping and then the rivets that hold it in place show.... and they don't match because I was running out! But I'm changing the buckle soon anyway so I can fix it then. I like the brass finish on the accent rivets. We used brass on Xana's belt to match the buckle and it looks good.

Ok the belt is fixed... new buckle, better keepers. But here's what I was talking about when I said my belt was curved. It was a ladies hip belt at one time, but I wear it up around my waist. The curve makes a huge difference in that it doesn't cut into my hips at all. It's very comfortable. and here's the whole thing: www.geocities.com/galaxygal_117/pics/floaters/belt-sm.jpg[/img]

Very nice belt! Will the "curved belt for the short waisted" advice be in any of the tutorials for CIII?
I have such a long waist, especially for my height, that a straight, 2" belt fits comfortably witout getting anywhere near my hips.

Yeah maybe I can work this pic into something tutorial-ish.
I'm pretty tall... 5'8, but I have that classic pear shape and the straight belt just doesn't work. If it fits around the bottom, it's too wide at the top and flops all over the place. Also this belt is about 3 inches wide. You can see it by the size of the food capsules. I think I may clip them to the smaller belt instead... might look better.

i I tried on a 3' wide blank and the thing not only filled the space between my hips and rib cage. WIththe saber on, it jabbed my ribs. Youtch!. I had to scale it down to a 2'. The 2.25 or 2.5' will actually start rolling outward.(The hips and ribcage forcing it away from the body. I haven't enough torso. ) If the widder belt is an inche smaller then the narrowband must be scaled down to fit in right proportion. I don't belive a costume must be uncomfortable. I think they should be highly comfortable and the wearer has to be able to 'live in it'.

we just need to replace that saber hook Heheh... well my saber has a D-ring, so... that works, and it doesn't hang down too low. What else would you suggest Dave? What did the use in the OT? I have a covertec that I use when I wear the Obi-Wan Saber that I have, but I mostly wear the one with the D-ring.

hehe - a saber hook of course : heheh...duh! ;D ;D ;D Hmm, it looks like it's riveted on... I need to be able to switch from D-ring to covertec... I have both. Hey it looks like Luke is wearing a sort of hip belt.... then again he has no hips....

Hey it looks like Luke is wearing a sort of hip belt.... then again he has no hips.... Thats why I use screw back rivets - gives the look of a solid rivet with easy removal by flat head screw driver;) I know I have done a few Jedi belts where I hide the rivets under the accent belt, this way if you take the hook off, the holes are still hidden

Hey it looks like Luke is wearing a sort of hip belt.... then again he has no hips.... Gosh, I like that smiley Luke picture. It showed up in all kinds of magazines and place when ANH first came out. But I always wondered....how did Luke happen have a hook on his belt that was so handy for a lightsaber? I just assumed that since he obviously carried all sorts of tools with him anyway that it was a hook that he used something else. But it still seemed conspicuously lucky that he had it. I guess there's no such thing as luck.
