This is for people who basically want the generic belt that most Jedi Knights wear.
The main [large] belt is 2 inches wide [EP1] or 2 1/2 inches wide [EP2] this can be purchased from any leather store such as tandy in precut blanks [2 inch] or custom cut [2 1/2 inch] the blanks come in black, reddish brown [obi-wan's boots] or unfinished tan color.
The inner belt size depends on the size buckle that you are using. There is a silver metal/plastic buckle [like the ones used on backpacks] that can be found at Cloth World or other fabric stores. Cut off the extra belt loop end with your dremel or other tool. This buckle looks very much like Anakin's.
3 belt keepers, 1 large [about 4 inches wide] to cover the belt fasteners at the back of the large belt and 2 small [about 1 inch wide] to cover the rivets that hold the buckle on the front small belt. My leather shop cut them for me, but anyone could cut them out with leather shears or scissors.
4 small rivets, 2 to hold the buckle on each side of the small belt and 2 to fasten the small belt to the large one at the back [they will be covered by the large belt keeper]
2 sets of heavy snaps for fastening the belt in the back [you can use velcro or a buckle if you wish]
8 sam browne belt holster studs [either screw fastened or rivet type] gold or silver. The leather shop should have these. You need 4 in the front, 2 on each side and 4 in the back. These hold the small belt in place and keep it from moving.
Once you have your parts you can begin assembling. Cut the small inner belt in two. Fold each end over after putting them through the buckle and rivet. Cover each end with the small belt keepers to cover the rivets.
Close the buckle and take the completed inner belt and lay it on the large belt. After measuring, cut the outer belt and inner belts to fit with a 2 inch overlap. Rivet the small belt ends to the Large belt at the ends. Punch holes for the sam browne belt studs wherever you think they look good and fasten them on to hold the small belt in place.
Punch holes for the snaps on either side of the small belt on the large belt at the ends. Slide the large keeper over one end. Put on the belt and snap shut. Slide the keeper over the snaps to keep them from showing.
Thats it.....any questions let me know.
This is based on pictures from the EP1 and Ep2 visual dictionary. For the best accuracy the belt should be dyed dark brown. The pouches are a reddish brown similar to Obi-wan's boots.
