I haven't heard of this Luxeon Powered LED Ultra Sabers so I can't say how well they would work. Are there any pictures of the final product? The MR blades are not designed for a removable blade, so I have doubts about the final product being very sturdy.
Parks sabers are very sturdy and well built. You can twirl and duel without worrying about dropping them. But they're not that bright. They only look good at night or in dark rooms. The EL light from them is negligible in daylight. The MR blades are brighter, but nowhere near as tough and you're stuck with a fixed blade.
A laser for a lightsaber blade? Nooooooo. Laser light just goes in one direction until it hits something. Unless you see them in fog, they're invisible. And a lightsaber blade has to look good. A painted stick would better than a laser for a lightsaber.
No way, no how is there any technology to make anything even remotely like a lightsaber in the movies. I did a short calculation of what it would take to do what Qui-Gon Jinn did with his saber in the opening of TPM and you could probably light a small town with the amount of power Qui-Gon used to melt that door.
