I'm about to buy one of those cool acrylic blades from Random Sabers. They have three lengths: 30", 36" and 42"
How long are your blades?
I'm probably going for the 36" in blue...

keep in mind that a good 6"-8" inches of the blade will be Inside the hilt (4" for some sabers) So factor that los of lentgh into the purchase size.

The typical EL blade is 40" long, to allow for up to 4" inside the hilt for a 36" 'active' blade.
Those acrylic blades are offered in those lengths because acrylic rods come in 6' lengths. They want to get two blades per rod with no waste. Do the math.

How quaint... I'll probably get the 42" then to have a more proper amount sticking out... Sounds good...

thanks for the responses guys.
I read that other thread too Leda and it is very useful! Since I'm a micro-Jedi, I don't need a very long blade. But much of it will disappear into my hilt anyway...

Mine's about 32 inches from where it pops out of the hilt to the tip. That seems to be comfortable for me.

Well, since you're taller than I 30" may be fine for me - that's what i'm figuring for mine...

I'm 6'4" and also getting a blade and hilt from RandomSabers and am leaning to the 42" acrylic blade.
