Hi Mordune.
I own two Lightech sabers... the Defender, as well as an older model which Mike doesn't make anymore. The defender is nice because it's smooth in shape, nothing protruding (like lights ot switches or rubber grips)that would interfere with your proper grip while dueling, or while just twirling the blade. Also, you can opt for one that has a brass insert for proper balance. The el blades are polcarbonate tubing and I beat the hec out of mine, so they're pretty durable.
Most people I know that own el, own a Parks saber, and I have to say that I prefer the designs of these over Lightech's. There's more to choose from, although they all look like they have protrusions of one sort or another on them, and like I said, that hinders my ability to twirl it well.... at least for me, maybe it has to do with the fact that I have smaller hands, I don't know. Eventually I'd like to get a Parks.
Also FYI, Parks el blades and Lightech's el blades are NOT interchangeble.
The other two companies I've never heard of. Hope this helps.

I have a Lightech as well. I wish I had opted to get the Viper Defender, but the saber was a gift from my father to me. The tubes look great, the handles are upgradable, theres a sound module out now for the Lightech and The switch is a simple black button instead of having to hold down a press pad. Not too fond a massive red cap at the end of my lightsaber blade either. I dunno if PArks still does that, but they use too. Their designs rock though.
