I use Photoshop for my saber effects. I do not have the L.I.A. package, but don't see the need. It's very simple to do a lightsaber blade in photoshop. I use the paintbrush tool, with a brush having a "diffused" edge. First I do the colored "halo" of the blade, using an opacity setting of about 40% or so. Creating a "line" with the paintbrush tool is done by holding down the shift key, and clicking 2 points (one at the base of the saber and one at the tip of the blade). once you have established the colored area, switch color to white, and opacity to 100% (or near...depends on taste). Select a smaller paintbrush size (can be "solid" or "diffused"...I use diffused). Then repeat the same line method used for the colored "halo"...not extending the line all the way to the tip. Sounds lengthy, but is simply two lines, one of color and one in white. Two different opacities, and brush sizes. Takes me about 30 seconds to do... Photoshop is a wonderful program to work with images in...I love playing with images in Photoshop...really cool stuff... ~Kai Rhann Man that worked great thanks!
