Nicely put I really like your description there. I played KOTOR and they stated (as someone did above) that... Blue: Jedi Guardian (the people who like to fight) Green: Jedi Sentinel (the people who like to make peace) Yellow: Jedi Consular (the middle men, who like balance) when I played and answered the questions I was a Consular... of course that could be because I don't like confrontation, but will fight if I need to. My character, AnJoh Zaji, uses a blue in right hand and a shorter green in left hand. Peace be with you, Master An'joh Zaji
I feel I must correct your statement, In KOTOR It states Blue- Jedi Guardians Green- Jedi Counselars Yellow- Jedi Sentinals Later on though you may choose to alter the color to either green, blue, yellow, purple, or red. I also read some where that the red blade is for the sith due to it being a synthetic crystal infused with darkforce energy.

Correct about the Sith and red blades. Official sources state that the Sith prefer to use synthetic crystals imbued with the dark side. These synthetic crystals produce a red blade.
The whole "good guys have blue and green, bad guys have red..." statement by Lucas himself on a On The Set interview from the official site (in which Sam Jackson said "...no purple saber?", which George said "well, maybe purple...") has always reminded me of the old westerns when the good cowboy wore a white hat, the bad cowboy wore a black hat. It's just the symbology of color. Red usually invokes an ominous tone (visually) and blue is more soothing, as is green.
I like keeping it as seen in the movies. And I imagine that Adegan crystals simply produce only blue or green. Perhaps, the addition of purple, adds some possiblility for rare anomolous colors. The fewer sabers with "odd" colors, the better. It makes them more interesting when there are only but a few purple, yellow, or orange sabers. My opinions, of course...

Hey I'm just glad there's purple. It interessting to note that in Shadows of the Empire, Luke made the crystal for his green saber, must be infused with lightside force energy to not be red

I go on the theory that the crystal(s) you choose for your saber produces the color.
Didn't Corran Horn make a red blade in "I, Jedi"?
I have two blades myself, blue and red; both designed with the parts I had available, just like a Jedi.
Is is unimaginable to have a white blade? Black? Those would be kind of cool, don't you think?

Corran Horn made a dual-phase lightsaber. I believe the blade colors were silver-white, and violet. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I did just reread "I, Jedi" last summer, though.

Alas, my memory fails me. I must go through more training!
I just pulled the book out to make sure... silver and purple.
There isn't any problem with a Jedi with a red blade. The synthetic Sith crystals tend to produce a red blade. Any reason there couldn't be Jedi with red blades. I know GL's good guy/bad guy philosophy, but in the "real" world of Jedi, it could work.
Maybe I should change my second saber's color so I am not mistaken as a Sith...

[glow=red,2,300]Well...[/glow]I am glad to hear that I wasn't the first person to think of a white blade... Personally, I do like the blue blades better, but I toyed with the idea of my character having a white blade, because of her nickname, "Jedi of Thunder" whereas her blade matched her fighting spirit. Her spirit was the thunder, and her blade the lightining, thus the the old saying, Where there is thunder, there must be lightining. Then again, I've seen all sorts of colors for lightining... so what do I know? LoL.

thats a big 10/4.....heres the score. PARKS blades will only work in PARKSABERS...they have a stereo plug on the blade. LIGHTECH and JEDI LOREEN's blades will work in any saber. got to see the WHITE blade last night at shinai practice. its sorta bluish white and really nice.
EL blade tutorial to be posted later today, if i get permission.

There is a white blade in ANH. It is used by luke with the training driod thing when they are flying in the Falcon to Alderaan, and absorbs laser blast rather than reflecting it.
