yes the mace ones are nice, I have been struggeling with what color led to put in mine. I had a white k2 but the relay shorted so the only led I had left was an 1 watt red. looks good but don't know if I should keep it that way.
oh hey 2saberjedi, if you just broke the blade, get an conversion kit from either ultra or when Tim from TCSS has his done in about a month.

ya i broke the blade its still in one piece but ya im only gonna use the blade 4 display or just muckin around in the yard at nite
i like the mace saber but the gold on my mace saber is starting to fade so idk but i would use white orange or light blue in the mace thay look the best 4 a saber that dosent use the normal crystal colors
but ya i unpluged the blade and leds to my luke took them out and set them in my closet and now i got the sound borad in and i get a kick outta just turning it on and twirling it around... its what it would be like if it was real cuz as we all know the blade is weightless

well with the conversions instead of the laddering effect its more of a fade in fade out. its tough to see with the eye but like when I video camed myself spinning my saber around I really noticed it then.
but for me when I look at it the on was a bit quick but the shut down was deffinatly a fade out but its quick.
you prolly could take the led strip and put it in a stronger blade. I dont know if that will protect the leds enought to not pop them so easy.
but if ya want to duel the led strip has to go.

(bow) yes i wanna k2 led to dule with but i just love the led strip so im looking at my options but for now i will be happy with my luke saber as is... i am realy looking into random sabers but i will be happy with sumthing i find on e-bay well thats if my wife will let me get a saber being that i already have 5 MRfx sabers how well do EL sabers hold up when duleing?? EL sabers depending seem to hold up alright. They get little dark spots on the el paper where if it is hit to hard it will not light up there anymore. Some places likes Parks are now selling stunt blades for the more intrested in duelintg crowd or fan film guys.

All I can say is if your gonna go with el is stay away from el sheet get the kinds that has multipul strands of el wire in it. much brighter but el is eather on or off.
with the led you can get step drivers that have effects like blade shimmer, blade lock up, ignition and retraction.
EL is duelable but very blade heavy wire or sheet. and I heard that you can hear the wires smacking around inside the blade.

I'm no EL expert. I should try it some day. from what I saw so far, the EL is rather dim compared to any other blade techniques. Someone could correct me here?
