i sent in my saber hilt drawings to randomsabers and this is the quote i got from them what do u all think?
Michael - If we were to machine the pair of hilts as Stunt-style hilts, the upper design in your picture would run you $60, while the lower design would run you closer to $90. Both would feature a 3/4" bore all the way through, and we could make a removable endcap, so that you could have access to the batteries and electronics.
TO make each of the sabers solid, you would be looking at closer to $75 for the top design and $120 for the lower design.
We can also offer a solid plug that can be fitted into the emitter to make it appear as though the saber was solid, yet the plug can be removable, in case you ever decided that you wanted to use blades in the sabers.
If you wanted your hilts to be ELITE with glowing blades, you would be looking at $180 for the top design and $210 for the bottom design. Those prices include installation and the blade color of your choice.
well what do u all think ...if u wanna seen the hilts i sent them just e-mail me and i will sent them to you

Pshaw, ask about getting LED installed. Corbin's electronics are not too expensive and I think that it may even be cheaper or around the same price.

I do not know if Randomsabers does LED hilts yet..... Ryan would likely be game to try and he seems to have a connection with Corbin so it might work out that way....
From my reading and surfing it looks like LED is the way to go for dueling blades and some of the effects.......

there are very good wiring diagrams at Corbins site and some cross posting at both Randomsabers forum and TCCS forum. Corbin even has a recharge port tutorial for those who want to go that way also.
You should be able to get the electronics soldered in a good repair shop around you. For an experienced tech it should be only a short job.

I'm still waiting for mine to be made. I really liked how they communicated with me when I was going through the design and ordering phaze. They are very thorough and detail oriented. My only word of caution is don't get to excited about the lead time. I was told it would take 15-16 weeks. That was back in January and I'm still number 25. I'm not complaining about the lag time. After seeing his finished product it's obvious that each saber is given unquestioned attention to detail. Just don't expect to get your saber in a month or two or four.

Randomsabers has been swamped with some "special" work lately.......also a number of multiple orders for people doing Fan Films......They are worth waiting for, though.

(bow) I'm going to go with ultrasabers Ultra Apprentice saber its cheep and will be bright and beautiful thers no picture of it on the site but it would be the same as there Ultra Initiates saber seen in this picture Ultra Apprentice
The Apprentice is a perfect blend of value and durability.
The Apprentice is constructed using a lightweight, yet extremely durable injection molded PVC hilt that is coated in textured polyurethane for protection and grip, however, unlike the Initiate, it is full size, measuring approximately 11 inches in length.
The Ultra Sabers Apprentice comes with a 1" x 36" thick walled polycarbonate UltraGlow blade. www.ultrasabers.com/products.php?cat=12May The Force Be With You

The sabers are definitely worth waiting for. Ryan makes it very clear that the sabers are produced in the order he receives the customers down payment. This is the way I would do it. Sometimes special orders come in (fan films, conventions etc) and they are moved to the front of the line. Again I agree with this. Patience is the essence of the Jedi and these sabers are worth being patient.

I am on the waiting list for my RandomSaber w/ LED electronics and am anxiously awaiting its arrival.
As far as LED electronics go: - Order all of the LED equipment from Corbin's Components - Send your order to Ryan at RandomSabers - Ryan will install the electronics into your saber for a fee
If you do plan on going with the LED setup, you should e-mail your design to Corbin so that he can assess the design and see if all the electronics will fit.
