Here's my custom saber hilt. It's based off of my Krayt dragon decal on my xwing helmet. What do you think?
My "chip strip" for the graflex clamp is on the way to me now.

That's nice. I've thought about leather grips, but I had always imagined wrapping leather strips than lacing up a square. Good work.

And I see your adjustable groover sitting over on the right side in the top pic. That's the same tool that I have.

What is that other tool? The one with the red handle?

the other tool is a carver. Here's what i did:
I printed out a piece of paper with the design, traced it with a pen onto the leather (it was already dyed) then used the carver over the traced lines. it essentially made a dent into the leather. then i went over that with the groover, which revealed the lighter color beneath the dyed leather? is that clear? let me know if you need more explanation.
