Looks very nicely crafted. Interesting use of ?rivets? on the end.
I have a new appreciation of the skill involved in making the cut-outs on the pipe. I've just had my first experience this weekend of cutting pipes with a dremmel. I'm doing the BYB Style II.

Thanks JediKai!
And yes, those are rivets at the end. I was trying to come up with an idea for the end when I started to look at the rivets I was going to use for my belt. Now I have to head out and buy some more. ;D
I look forward to seeing your new saber!

I liked the use of the rivits at the pommel end of the sabre. How did you affix them?

Thanks Jauhzmynn! I used epoxy to fix them onto the pommel.

hi everyone;
i just wanted to announce that jedi loreen and i constructed an EL lightsaber in 5 hours. we used a standard LIGHTECH kit, including the $40 adapter and the more exprensive push button switch. the main body is an industrial chrome plated brass sink pipe. my ex-padawn did the 45 degree cut ala anakin on the front end. we had to make a PVC sleeve to put inside the tube so that the adapter would fit snuggly. for the end we used a chrome hole cover. overall it looks plain though beautiful. a chrome tube with a polished aluminum emmiter patially outside the lower part of the angled front end. a black push button and a flat end cap with a black acorn nut for accent. simple but useful. the only problem we had was that the button head machine bolts were not long enough. a trip to the hardware store fixed that. i will post pictures, if i can get someone to take them for me.

Is there a way to attach an acrylic blade to the Style 8 saber from the BYB?
